Bio
Paul Mullin’s plays have been produced in cities across the U.S., treating on subjects ranging from the race to decode the human genome to the uncelebrated underbelly of American History.  His LOUIS SLOTIN SONATA won the L. A. Drama Critics Award for Outstanding World Premiere, and was read by invitation before scientists at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.  The SONATA will be produced at the Empty Space Theatre in Seattle in September of 2006 in commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the accident the play dramatizes.  His most recent play, THE SEQUENCE, was originally commissioned by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, in collaboration with Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City, and has received staged readings before audiences of scientists and bio-tech professionals in San Francisco, Chicago and Fairfax, Virginia.  In addition to work for the stage, Mullin has written several feature film scripts and television documentaries.  He wrote and starred in the independent feature film HITTING THE GROUND, which won the Gold Prize at the Houston WorldFest and later played in rotation on the Sundance Channel.  His future plans include drafting a play that will change word by word over the next 10,000 years as a companion piece to the Clock of the Long Now slated to be built in the Nevada high country. Paul lives in Green Lake with his wife and two young sons.
